I am a historian and have been using an assortment of TiddlyWiki Classic files for all of my academic notes for the better part of a decade now. I've been very happy with my system, so until now there has been no reason to check the main website. Now, however, I would like to create a new TiddlyWiki file for a new project, and I see that there is a new version of the program that is not backwards compatible with the old one. I was hoping the community could advise me on a few points / check if my understanding is correct:
(1) Even though the Classic version is no longer being updated, there is no reason not to keep using it for my old notes. It will always continue to work; I don't have to worry about losing my old notes someday.
(2) The conversion to the New TiddlyWiki is clunky and only half functional, so I should probably just leave my old notes system as is in the Classic version.
(3) However, given that I want to start a new TiddlyWiki file anyway, I may as well use the new version for the new project.
(4) If I am using Firefox to work on some TiddlyWiki Classic files and some from the new version, will TiddlyFox work for both?
Anything else I should be considering as I start up a new system in the New TiddlyWiki?
Many thanks in advance.
