http://showroom.tiddlyspot.com is for creating slideshows, using BJ's taglist plugin to sort the slides.

Please excuse me for the used example.
Mats suggestions to find new users and the word teasing, made me do this show titled  "TW to lure the hussars into using TW ;-)"

Hi Birthe,

I love this "comic" style of a presentation. It's a great intro!

Some ideas:

- For a new user it may not be obvious, that there is a "-> next" button on the bottom right corner. So the first arrow should be more visible.
- The font may be a little bit bigger.
- The sentences are too long. eg:

"Don't just stand there staring at me, "come on in"....I'm sure you want to know a little more, and try your hands at some tiddler fiddling. "

could be

 - Don't just stand there staring at me, "come on in"!   <- come on in ... may be green. and a link to the next page.
 - I'm sure you want to know a little more
 - try your hands at some tiddler fiddling.

page: My bowl

"that the official TiddlyWiki mascot is:" may be "that the official TiddlyWiki mascot is Jack:"

The font size here is good. may be the whole TW should have this size. ... switching size in the middle of a presentation shouldn't happen.

page: Recognise another TW user

hmmm, imo this text can be improved, with some positive rephrasing.

page: This Site Uses TiddlyWiki

The end  ...   Instead of "the end" there should be a "call to action" link. eg:

 - download this TW   ... or
 - watch the TW intro video     or
 - go to tiddlywiki.com    or
 - have a look at a second  "intro" (same style)
 - ... <you name it>

have fun!
mario

Hi PMario,

Thank you so much for your good advice.

I have made changes, to font size, added a download button, relaxed the text in "Recognise another TW user" a little . I think the arrow button in the first slide will be recognised now ;-).
It is not like the other buttons though...but just for the fun of it.

Haha! This was wonderful! Thank you Birthe! And there are quite a few tidbits that I find interesting, like how the zoom animation goes in different directions and Author List Story thing.

Mats suggestions to find new users and [...]

How flattering to understand it inspired you! For anyone wondering what Birthe is referring to, it is (...I assume) the concept of Appetizer TW's , i.e;

...TW applications intended to function as entrance points to TW in cases where users are not interested in TW per se. Instead, the user is looking to solve a specific need and the appetizer TW is designed to address this. This could be a Grocery list or a tool for Geneaology. From "our" view, Appetizer TWs serve as a marketing tool to attract people to the TW project.

Hi Mat,

Thank you for your kind words.
You are of course right, I was referring to Appetizer TW's. They can be good fun projects also for us non-programmers.
I am working at a very pink TW at the moment aiming at teenage girls to collect beauty tips. They all seem to love the colour pink are interested in looks, hair, make up, fashion, horses and boyfriends...in that order....;-)
I am proud to tell, that it has been tested already by two teenage girls age 13 and 14, I'll have to add a lot more content though.
