Hi all,

will KaTeX v0.5.0 plugin be available in new TiddlyWiki release? It contains some essential functions so I can stop using MathJax.

Thanks for all your work, TiddlyWiki has simplified my life a lot ;)

Hi Lukáš

Thanks for the heads-up, I've integrated KaTeX v0.5.0 for TiddlyWiki 5.1.10, and put up a prerelease here:

Let me know if you run into any problems,

Best wishes

Jeremy.

I must admit I still use MathJax. I like to be able to have $x=3$ and $$x = \int x dx$$ where the first on can be in a line and the second one is by default with \displaystyle and centered.

 When I look at http://tiddlywiki.com/prerelease/plugins/tiddlywiki/katex/ I can see \displaystyle everywhere even in the class katex-display!

Could we have the $ and $$ of MathJax (and LaTeX) in KaTeX (or in its version for TiddlyWiki)?

Olivier.

Hi Olivier,

I'm using Keyboard Snippets plugin (http://braintest.tiddlyspot.com/#keyboard-snippets) to create custom shortcuts for katex.
For example I use
"alt+x" : { "pre":"$$", "post":"$$"}
for inline mode and
"alt+c" : { "pre":"<div style='text-align:center'>\n$$\\displaystyle ", "post":"$$\n</div>"}
for centered mode.

By the way, katex version v0.5.1 with math fonts support is available :)

Hope this helps,
Lukas

Thanks Lukas for the trick. BTW is it possible to define new command in tiddlywiki? I like to have a clean source too, so if I could define \[ and \] to be your alt+c but without seeing all the <div...> in the source, it would be perfect.

Olivier.

Maybe macros are what you need.
Have a look at this: http://tiddlywiki.com/#Formatting%20text%20in%20TiddlyWiki (under Macros header) and search tiddlywiki main page for info on macros.

for what I have seen, calling a macro needs << and >> which would be in my case

<</[>>
...
<</]>>

It is much better than the <div...> option but if it could become just \[ that would be even better.

Olivier.

Hello Jeremy

Thanks for the upgrade.

Some fonts seem to render incorrectly (specifically mathsf, mathtt, mathfrak, mathcal, mathscr as far as I've tested).

Great, thanks for catching that. I've fixed the problem and posted a new prerelease, and would be grateful if you could try it out,

Many thanks,

Jeremy.
