Firefox 17.0.1on debian stable
T.wiki to import from 2.1.3
T.wiki to import into 2.6.6

I just get the message "Opening the workspace" and nothing happens

I have a lot of info in the wiki (333k)

Need to do this because my Ffox just upgraded itself & won't save. Installed tiddlyfox which works with 2.6.6 but not with 2.1.3 which is where all my info is.

Any suggestions?

Ok I've done it by copying & pasting into the storeArea

It seemed to sort itself out fine after I've done that. Can save again now. Phew!!

Is that firefox extension going to have long term support? Will Tw ever work in Chrome?

I regard TiddlyFox as critical to TiddlyWiki's usefulness, and so expect to continue to enhance and extend it.

The story for Chrome isn't so good; Chrome extensions don't have enough privileges to access the file system. Java is slowly dying, and I'm not optimistic that Chrome will continue to support Java given Google's dislike of security holes in software they don't control.

I suspect that pretty soon the best option for using TiddlyWiki on Chrome will be to either use one of the cloud services like Dropbox or to run a local node.js instance.

Best wishes

Jeremy
