I've had an emerging interest in how TiddlyWiki can help me triumph over Perry Mason.

Perry Mason, the old TV series, is a treasure trove of linguistic tropes.

I'm interested in it because I teach cinema and how to get the best from the weird language of cinema & TV (hardly anyone actually talks that way unless they watched too many episodes of Twin Peaks). Its very useful to become more familiar with the way that plot and speaking interlace and the specific ways that filmic lingo is constructed.

Using BJ raised the issue for me for the need for a more interactive, dynamic ways of using regular expressions in TiddlyWiki.

 - A way of working where you can interactively select results.

 - Where you can update easily a regular expression.

 - Where you can handle bulk results.

 - Where you can better handle globally applied regex.

I'm pretty sure all of this is doable.

Right now I'm just seeking ideas that will help me better spec what is needed. Quite a lot has been done over the years but its all a bit fragmentary. I'm wondering most if its possible and valuable to try bring things together.

But together into WHAT? What could it look like & FOR what?

I never realized that Perry Mason was the Shakespeare of his time.

Members of the jury, we have questions, and we've got them good:

1. What do you mean by "select" results? Where we would they go? Become new tiddlers?
2. What do you mean by "bulk" results?
3. Globally applied regex ... you want to see all the global results? Global inside of one tiddler ? (that presumably contains PM text)
