I am trying to add footnote functionality to my wiki.  It is hosted on Tiddlyspot.  Basically I want an easy way to reference where I got certain information in my tiddlers, but I don't want it to be in the main text area.  Id also rather avoid creating a new Tiddler for each source as there could be a lot of them.  I found this on (http://tiddlywiki.squize.org/#FootnotesPlugin) and it works great when I have the wiki offline, but, for some reason, it breaks the upload (save to web) functionality.  Anyone have some ideas?  Thanks for the help!

I glanced at the source for that plugin and it doesn't look like it would stop tiddlyspot saving.. have you tried removing the plugin and testing again?  Maybe there's some other change that has broken the upload functionality.

These are the steps I've taken:
1) Installed the plugin and marked it as systemConfig
2) Uploaded to Tiddlyspot (save to web)
3) Reloaded wiki
At this point I am no longer able to save to web - when I click the link to do so there is no popup like normal saying that it is saving.  I have waited about 10 minutes and reloaded just to make sure it isn't saving in the background and it does not.
If I load a backup copy of the wiki (before I marked the plugin as systemConfig) the ability to save to web is restored.  During this test this was the only change I made to the wiki.  I also tested on a second wiki I have on Tiddlyspot and got the same results.

Sounds pretty conclusive.  I've looked through the code again -- it's only fifty or so lines -- and still can't see anything remotely suspicious, it must be some subtle interference.  If I get some time later I might dink about with it and see if I can get it working, but today I'm writing a PEG parser so my brain will probably be a bit too full.

Maybe if Saq (aka Lewcid) is around he could try his plugin out on a current tiddlyspot tiddlywiki and see if he can get it going..

Cheers
