TiddlyDesktop "not supported on this type of Mac"

TiddlyDesktop version 0.0.8
OSX 10.10.5
TiddlyDesktop works fine under a limited user account, but when I try to open it in an admin account I get the error "You can't open the application TiddlyDesktop because it is not supported on this type of Mac."
The app icon has a circle with a diagonal slash thru it -- as in no smoking signs.
I can open TW files fine in Firefox, so not a burning issue.
