Hey, any work being done for compatibility with Google Chrome? A
possible ETA?

TiddlyWiki works fine on Chrome, though you need TiddlySaver for saving:
http://tiddlywiki.org/wiki/Chrome

I just noticed http://tiddlywiki.com/#Browsers says different. We'll
need to update that.

Well one thing I can't get to work on Chrome is importing tiddlers.

So claiming to works fine isn't quite true if "fine" includes the
ability
to import data.

Just to add details to rouilj's point:
- It IS possible to import tiddlers from a local file (using either
the backstage import or the ImportTiddlersPlugin from
tiddlytools.com).
- What doesn't seem possible is importing tiddlers from a website.
- For reasons I don't understand, it's possible to browse to a local
folder when using the (built-in) backstage import, but not with
ImportTiddlersPlugin (one must type in the entire pathname including
"file:///" every time). I've been assuming that whatever the problem
is, it's also the reason why I can't get either ShowLocalDirectory or
AttachFilePlugin from tiddlytools.com to work in Chrome.

True; this is also stated on the wiki page. If I remember correctly,
Chrome does not allow local HTML files to perform requests to remote
sites. Unfortunately, there's nothing TiddlyWiki can do about such
browser-level restrictions.

This isn't overridable using something similar to TiddlySaver.jar?
RemoteRequest.jar
couldn't provide working versions of the functions?

I suppose it would be possible to create a local proxy applet. Might be
worth raising the issue over on the dev group.
