I am trying to add another member to a Tiddlyspace (@Mentalization) but the tiddlySpace Apps menu is blank, and when I go to the Space menu it doesn't load as usual (even though I am logged on as member), so I don't get to see the option to add a new member.

I know there was some server down time planned - is this the cause?

Are you getting the same behavior in any other spaces? That space
appears to be doing some very aggressive things with CSS and maybe the
DOM as well (via Javascript). If it is, that could be impacting the
display of the backstage(s).

When I visit the space I see the backstage(s) but their presentation
is all askew.

Aha - I see what you mean (a bit) - this is limited to this space alone!

Is there some kind of recursion or loop that I have inadvertently set up causing this?

I wondered if it was something to do with my attempts to use microsoft Skydrive as a hosting site for displaying powerpoint slides (via an iframe) - the Skydrive site does really annoying things if you use their "embed" code, rather than using the URL from their actual slideshow function - the embed code causes the browser (Firefox inmy case, but same in others) to abandon the whole wiki in favour of the Skydrive website, so that you don't get an embeddd image at all, but lose the wiki as soon as you open that tiddler... this makes it hard then to DELETE the tiddler: as soon as you open it, it flicks you out of the TiddlyWiki entirely...

Have removed these but the problem still exists.

Any thoughts?

Aha!

I discovered another tiddler hidden away with a slide-mounting attempt, using Skydrive's suggested embed code, and after a bit of a struggle I managed to delete this, too (effectively, whenever I opened the tiddler it was bouncing me out of the TW URL, and off to a Skydrive slideshow URL.)  Now that I have managed to delete the tiddler and that bit of code, the site seems to be working fine again, and I can access all the backstage stuff that had got frozen...

Suggests that there is something a bit strange in the way the microsoft Skydrive embed code interacts with the TW - something that is way beyond my technical ability to understand.

I was using Skydrive as it gives a better online imitation of the ANIMATION that we use in a lot of the powerpoint slides that are used in trainings - if there is a better way of presenting existing powerpoint slides with their animations in a TW, it would  be good to know...
