How many tiddlers in your wiki?

I was just wondering at which point the wiki would get slow.
Is it the number of tiddlers (I have 1003), or is it rendering a tiddler with lots of scripts in it?

How many tiddlers do you have, and at which point did you notice a slowdown?

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that either 3MB or 5MB was the magic number where one might expect to see performance impact -- but I've got a couple of TWs floating around 3MB, and they seem to work fine.  (They are a bit slow to save on one of my older computers, but they save in 1-2 seconds on my newer machines — which is A-O.K. with me.)

For what it's worth, both of those have just under 900 tiddlers each.

There are people out there using TiddlyWiki's weighing 16MB and more.

How many tiddlers a tiddlywiki can handle is an interesting question.
I don't think it has ever been rigorously tested but I have seen
operational tiddlywikis with 10,000+ tiddlers.

The first thing that seems to go with large numbers of tiddlers is the
tagging, so some people do disable that feature to speed their TW up.
