I've just discovered TW and have down loaded both TW 2.5.3 and also
the MPTW.
From the help at :- Dave Gifford's TiddlyWiki for the Rest of Us and
his slideshow introduction
and Morris Gray's TW Help - TiddlyWiki help file for beginners
I am aware that difficulties are sometimes experienced Saving TW when
using IE.
I have used the <right menu> Save option but no matter what, I can't
get my changes saved.

The error I get is:-
It's not possible to save changes.
Possible reasons include:
- your browser doesn't support saving. (I'm using IE8.0.6001.18702,
Windows XP Pro 5.1 SP3)
- the pathname to your TiddlyWiki file contains illegal characters.
(E:\Temp\MyTiddlyWiki.html)
- the TiddlyWiki HTML file has been moved or renamed.

When I joined this group I received a message from Google that "You
need to enable active scripting and activeX controls".
I have a number of sites which use java and activex but I'm not sure
about 'active scripting' ?
The basic facilities in TW all seem to work except for the ability to
save.

Where to from here?

I get the same exact message except that I am using Safari 4..04, Mac
OS X 10.6.2. I renamed and changed the location of the file
yesterday. It worked all day yesterday but won't work today.

Update: The reason I was not able to save any changes to TW was
because I had not put in a username in the options on the right side.
Once I enter a username I was able to save changes.
