So the video file is actually stored in the TW5 html file? Just like still images?

When I create a new tiddler, (I'm using the prerelease version online but I won't save my changes) and choose a Content Type at the bottom of the new tiddler, there is no option for .webm files or ogg files

Oh, we can now comment on each tiddler, is that new to 5.1.22? Neat.

Ok I saved this file to my local drive:

Then dragged it into the prerelease TW5.1.22 online. It imported fine. But when I clicked on the new tiddler containing the WEBM file I see a bunch of garbage.

See screenshot below.

Hi Chunk,
Just to give a try drag and drop a webm file or ogg file from ou hard into tiddlywiki 5.1.22pr.
Then navigate to new tiddlers and you will see they are working!

Ok, this works when I save TW 5.1.22 on a flash drive. But not when I import to the tiddlywiki.com/prerelease/ version online.

The way I navigate to the tiddler is via the import tiddler which provides a link to the webm file. See screenshot. I click the link on the Import tiddler to view the webm file.

To clarify, the only change in v5.1.22 is that these file extensions are recognised as video and audio files. Whether anything useful happens when displaying them depends on the browser support for those formats.

Best wishes

Thanks Jeremy, can someone add that to the 5.1.22 release notes? Specific notes like that are more helpful.

The problem here is not my browser. When I put a .webm file in a local copy of TW5.1.22 on my flash drive, the .webm showed fine in Firefox v72. But when I added a .webm file to http://tiddlywiki.com/prerelease/ and tried to view that .webm tiddler, I was shown garbage.

So I'm not sure what is going on here.

Hi Chuck

OK I downloaded a webm file from http://dl5.webmfiles.org/big-buck-bunny_trailer.webm and dragged it into tiddlywiki.com/prerelease, imported the tiddler and viewed it on several different browsers on my Mac and it works as expected in all of them except Safari which doesn’t know how to play webm files.

What OS are you using? Can anyone else duplicate the issue?

Best wishes

Jeremy
