Hej

In English
I am a beginner and I have been writing a few ToDo lists as well as a follow up of whats done.

After a system recovery of the windows 10, the connection to the TiddlyWiki does not work any longer.
It is a file named "dagboken.html" that is missing on the hard disk C:\\Download

How should I search for my work?

Hi Lennart,

TiddlyWiki in its standalone version as you appear to be using it is just a file.
So, if a corrupted disk or operating system had it wiped and you never made any backups,
all you're left with is to start from scratch and pin rule #1 up top:

Make regular backups... or use a storage location in the cloud,
like OneDrive or Dropbox, that take care of that for you.

Best wishes,

Tobias.

Thanks Tobias

As I understood that the missing file was something more than just a link to the content on the cloud, I checked my backup and found it.
I clicked the file, and I am now back in business.

Now a consequential question:
How can I see that it is a standalone version?
I believed that one of the features with TiddlyWiki was the safety of having the lot on the cloud.

Regards Lennart

Hej fellow Swede!

This is really a question about Windows 10, not TW, so you should perhaps ask on some Windows forum.
That said, when you reset Windows 10 you are (if I recall correctly) given the option to keep your files or to really make a full reset (i.e delete everything). If you chose to keep your files, then your files are where they were before including your TW file. I don't think the Downloads folder is immediately under C: though, so you may wish to search around on your drive. If you cleaned out everything... then it is lost.

P.S För att få hjälp är det bäst att hålla sig till engelska, speciellt i rubriken.
