What are bags, policies, source (URL) and other fields for?

Hi all,

What are bags, policies, and those other strange fields for? Do they allow me to structure things in any particular way? Can I distribute sets of tiddlers better than by exporting [tag[whatever]] or is it just basically the same as exporting field:bag[whatever] anyways?

I'm trying to understand the structure of this aspect of TW as I plan to move Cardo to a multiuser base. But a general explanation can't be found anyways (here or tw.com) so I'm sure of would be valuable.
