I work for a regional multiservice operator in the wireless department. We're looking for a way to easily track and search issues (including historical views post-implementation) for anyone in the company without needing to go through a ton of emails. Tiddlywiki will work well if it can handle the volume of notifications we get, as it has tag support, browser support, and an easy to use interface.

My question is if can even handle the workload through a single html file. We're talking about like a gigabyte+ worth of text and thousands of toddlers.

I'm going to say 'no'. This is not a good idea in my opinion. You need something more robust to handle that kind of volume - maybe you could back TW with a database, a la TiddlyPouch/NoteSelf (search the forum if you're interested) but even then, I think you will be better off with something that's designed for your use-case.

The people at Wordpress (Automattic) use Slack for a similar (?) purpose: https://make.wordpress.org/chat/

I'm going to agree with Richard. Tiddlywiki is not the right tool to solve the problem you describe.

What you describe sounds to me like you need an issue management system. There are plenty of them.

In the software development world Jira and Bugzilla are two such examples. They may not be the right fit for what you describe as your particular problem as they are both focused on issues in software code during development.
