is it possible to disable the edit history? (question is for both TWC and TW5)

i want to disable the history of recently accessed or edited tiddlers. is this possible?

Edit the shadow tiddler $:/tags/MoreSideBar and remove from its list what you don't want to see.

Go to tiddler SideBarTabs and remove the text "Timeline" "Timeline" "TabTimeline".
