I'm very happy to announce the release of Cardo 1.0.4

A Task and Project Management Wiki for Getting Stuff Done

Cardo comes from a combination of "Card" and "Do". This was the name given to the main north-south roads in ancient Roman cities, used as a guide for easy navigation. It also aptly describes the UI of the tool.

Cardo has many features for task and project management, including:

  • Projects, Teams, and RACI charts
  • Progress & Status Updates
  • Tasks, Delegation Tracking & Reminders
  • Contexts, Areas & Realms
  • Meetings & Agenda Items
  • References & Notes
  • Contacts & Conversations
  • Book Library & Reading Notes
  • Goals (with a very Tony Robbins feel)

They are tightly interlinked to allow extremely complex tracking, presented in very elegant dashboards.

Get Cardo at http://cardo.wiki

Cardo comes in either a standalone "empty" TiddlyWiki file, or you can add Cardo to your existing TiddlyWiki by importing a .json file of plugins.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the development of Cardo, either through testing and bug reports, feature suggestions, or kind words of encouragement! A special thanks to Jeremy for this fantastic platform we all love hacking on. Keep up the great work.

1.0.4 Changelog:

  •     1.0.4 (7 Jan 2019):
    • Added: Goals - with a very Tony Robbins feel
    • Fixed: IE11 compatibility (issue with guid.js)
    • Fixed: Reminder wording better reflects goals, tasks and projects
    • Fixed: Alignment of Tiddler buttons in Cardo theme
    • Added: Start date (cardo-start) to Projects and Tasks
    • Changed: Moved "Recurring"/"Reminder" checkboxes for cleaner layout
    • Fixed: New Conversation from sidebar was tagged wrong
    • Fixed: New items are set with the Focus currently set in the sidebar (unless Focus is set to "All")
      • (This fixes a number of bugs where items don't appear due to sidebar being un-set, as well as allows new items to have a default so they should never be un-set)

David,

Thanks for sharing this comprehensive solution on TiddlyWiki and maintaining it for updates. It sets a strong example of TiddlyWiki's capabilities.

Currently I have my own GTD tool, that evolves over time to meet my needs, but I expect I may use cardio for managing larger projects.

  • Given your understanding of Cardio could you document/design a process to import export tasks and other critical values from and to cardio such that others could build interfaces?
  • I can imagine a custom export tool on my Wiki(s) that would export tiddlers that would map my tags and fields in task tiddlers to Cardio's tags and fields and generate a json file of tasks.
  • I could imagine how this may help Cardio to Cardio transfer, such that as a project grows large or is to be delegated and or archived it could be exported and transferred from anywhere to anywhere.
  • You need only set a Cardio import/export standard and document it, others can build there own tiddler exports that match the Cardio standard, they could even map third party Todo systems to Cardio either directly or via a custom translating Tiddlywiki.
  • The only complexity I can see is how to transfer the fact one task may have been deleted.
What do you think?

If you feel you need a uniqueID to support this I have a process I can share.

Regards
Tony

Hello David,

This is very interesting application. I am downloading it and playing with it.
Of course some project management information is required to be able to use it.
I am also interested in your approach in creating different elements like contact, person, reference, ...
Please add a License Tiddler. Also readme and ... in plugin page

Ask David Gifford to add this app to his list of Toolmap.

A minor comment:
When create a new project, above the editor area you see

</div> </$set>

Check the code, seems some tag are missing.

How does one submit bug reports to you?
