Hi,
Our group has a commen Windows file share mapped as G: (no suprises
there).
On that file sjhre, we have a tiddlywiki, neityher large nor with plug-
ins.

If I copy the wiki to my local drive I can edit it and save changes to
i and it works as expected.
On the other hand if I open it from the file share, no changes can be
saved, most of the time I get the message that say that I either
- have insufficent rights to the file
- the file no longer exists
- the filname contons illegal characters
which of course is not true :-)

On the other hand, ever since I changed to Win 7, there seems to be a
change in the way Windows maps disks, even though I use G:\wiki.html
to access the file share, it seems like Win 7 disregards the mapping
and refers to the file as \\srevr_001.somesite.org\wiki.html.

I've seen other programs in Win / not recognizing files on file
shares.

Is there some way around this?

I've noticed this, too — and I can no longer remember if it worked back when my whole network was WinXP.  (?)

Perhaps it's related to the way saving is automatically disabled when viewing a TW over http?  If so, there may be an override that would allow you to save over a LAN.  I wouldn't know, but maybe one of the TW wizards will chime in if we're barking up the right tree.  :)

(For my part, I just grab the TW off the network, make my changes, and then return it whence it came.  But I can appreciate that that may not be ideal in every case.)
