I suspect this may get a chuckle out of some TiddlyWikkans with long memories.

I've recently begun cleaning up some of my old stylesheets (q.v.) and noticed the ones with type set to application/x-tiddler didn't display the CodeMirror plugin UI template applied to them when I opened them for editing (no line numbers, no CodeMirror-specified font).  That's apparently because the plugin doesn't support application/x-tiddler.

It looks like newer stylesheets have a type of text/vnd.tiddlywiki (or text/css if they contain only raw CSS) instead.

Was application/x-tiddler deprecated a while back?
Did it become application/x-tiddlywiki?
Or did those tiddler types coexist for a while?

Hi Scott

At the moment there are 3 application/x-tiddler**  variants known to TW

application/x-tiddler ... is associated with the .tid  file extension
application/x-tiddlers ... is associated with the .multids  file extension
application/x-tiddler-html-div ... is associated with the .tiddler  file extension which is there for really old files.

Those application types are used for compatitbility reasons.

The TW 5 default tiddler type is:  text/vnd.tiddlywiki ... associated with .tid file extension.

Ther is NO x-tiddlywiki type.

hope that helps.

Thanks, Mario!

I think I was confusing application/x-tiddlywiki with text/x-tiddlywiki, which is the type declaration for TiddlyWiki Classic tiddlers.
