ViewTemplate question

How could I adjust the ViewTemplate so that to the left of the toolbar I could have a separate list of buttons that have different CSS properties than the toolbar itself? Since I don't know what I am doing, in all my NoteStorm creations I have had to leave the "new note" buttons the same color as the toolbar buttons. I would really like to change that.

Hi!
Just insert a span or a div with a different class between the div
tags of the toolbar. Or after it or before it, depending on where you
want the buttons to show up. You can also insert it before the title
or somewhere else.

Thanks W. I had tried different ways of doing that, but it didn't work. At any rate, I found a workaround, as you will see at http://www.giffmex.org/NoteStorm.html
