I recently figured out how to use server tiddlywiki to disassemble a multi-tiddler json plugin file into separate tiddler files (see gg post here for details -- spoiler: it involves the --savewikifolder option).

Is there any way to use server tiddlywiki to do the opposite task: assemble multiple tiddler files into a single json plugin file? I've seen some gg posts suggesting it can be done with the --build option, perhaps with a suitable target in tiddlywiki.info. If so, though, I've never been able to find any instructions on how to do it. Any pointers to this or any other method would be appreciated.

Regards,
David.

I assume your not interested in doing this interactively in the wiki?

may I ask why you are doing what's easy as a user effectively in the command line?

I would have thought If its easy to do in the user interface there would be ways to trigger it from the command line. Even if you used startup actions.

Tony,

I'm aware it can be done interactively in wiki with Tinka, and have used it extensively. I'm after a way to do it from the command line partly out of curiosity and partly because my plugin workflow has changed - I won't bore you with the details. Like you, I assume there's a way to do it from the command line, but I need some help in figuring out how.

Regards,
David.

David,

The server commands are not my domain. But I have discovered a very quick way in the interactive environment to compile and pluginify JSON tiddlers without tinka.

This technique revolves around the import mechanism so if you can access it via the command line I may be able to help.

See how you go and ask me directly if you want more.

Good luck
Tony
