I have a CSS tiddle (created using the tag $:/tags/Stylesheet).  The fact that it is orphaned is not a problem for me.  I tried adding excludeLists as a tag, but it still shows up in the orphan an recent tabs.  Any idea how to hide it away?

Ideally, it would also not be exported to static HTML.

You can rename your tiddler with technical prefix $:/, for example $:/styles/myCSStiddler

Sylvain

(so you can adapt a name with your name or initial to find them easily with advanced search option $:/ML/styles/CSS)

Boom!  You just nailed it - I spent 45 minutes in Google and tiddlywiki documentation without figuring that out.  Merci beacoup!
