Hi Folks,

Thomas Elminger made a very nice typo in his post.

"100+ contributions", which for me is "100+ comments" BUT the TiddlyWiki project, is capable to handle 100+ contributions or even 100+ new contributors ;)

So this inspired me to create a "Community Challenge".

Challange!

 - Let's get 201+ more stars
 - Let's become a contributor

Why?

At the moment TiddlyWiki has 2286 stars. A github star is similar to a facebook like and we really like them!

2286 stars is slightly outside of the top 1000 javascript projects. see:  There are about 100.000 js projects with more than 8 stars. (just an info)

GitHub lists 10 projects per page and the UI stops at page 100 :/

Here's the area, where TiddlyWiki is located. see: TiddlyWiki's neighbours.

To enter the top 1000 we need about 2470. So the challange is 200+ new stars to go to page 99 ;)


What do you need to do?

Step 1: Star the TiddlyWiki Project

 - CREATE a github account at: https://github.com _and_
 - Star the TiddlyWiki repo there: https://github.com/Jermolene/TiddlyWiki5

Step 2: Become a contributor.

Just have a look at: http://tiddlywiki.com/#Improving%20TiddlyWiki%20Documentation ...

 - It's easy!
 - You can't break anything!
 - We have distributed backups all over the world!

I know, that the UI has changed a bit. .. but I'm willing to create a new video series, IF

we get 201++ new stars!!

OR

10 community members sign the TW CLA within the next 2 weeks, as new contributors - including a documentation "pull request" .. with the old videos ;)

PS: For the Top500, we just need to double the stars - Hmmm, I probably should have used this as a goal ;)

I'm freely interpreting this to mean "If Mat shlepps hiss sorry a** over and finally signs the CLA, which he should have done years ago, then OK he can be included as one of those 10".

This means that we only need another 9 CLA signers to have Mario put on his directors beret and make movies!

Can we also use this thread for requesting documentation about particular parts of TW5 so that interested people can create write ups and PRs? I do not want PMario to feel like this thread is being hijacked.

Everything that "bumps" the thread is OK if it creates PRs and stars :)
