Hi everyone,

Just wanted to share some personal tiddlywikis where I am sort of
"collecting" nice stuff...

So pants off you guys, anyone else up in the sharing business? ;-)

I was a little afraid to click on your links... "pants off" - is that
a European expression?

They do look interesting, thanks for sharing - I'll take a look on a
lunch break.
Here's something interesting I found recently, along with some older
ones:

I must say, I really like that creamy colouring of NoteStrom.... it's
quite a visual distinction to most other wikis around.

Maybe one thing: I would use different colors for hovering links...
the dark blue background and the magenta text kind of render the whole
thing barely readable when mouseover... how about kind of pure magenta
flavour... underlined or {border-bottom:1px dashed magenta}?

Tobias,

Re : http://goto.bplaced.net/index.html#systemConfig

Link from ::tags popup - opens tiddler above the tiddler,
But
Link from  ::tagging QuickOpenTags ('script' in this case) opens above,
But ::tagging opens tiddler below

I think it would be better if all tagging opened below.

Re: http://goto.bplaced.net/pearlSub.html#Download

The tiddler references in the MainMenu sparked off a memory of a fuzzy idea. It has two elements
1) FNDs [http://svn.tiddlywiki.org/Trunk/contributors/FND/plugins/TiddlyViPlugin.js]
2) Contol keys for BBC micro games like Planetoid [2]  : z = 'left'] , x = 'right'  etc.

The idea is about navigating the tw like computer game. With 'ref' in MainMenu use 'z' or 'x' to cycle though refs backward and forward. (the movement is hoizontal as the links to the tiddler in focus are at the same heirachical level, in other words ignore classification ::tags and ::tagging.

Up and down controls would go though tags (up) and tagging (down) moving up clasification catagories

Then the document can be navigated in fast, fun and new ways.

It would get interesting and a (bit trippy) when ::tags , ::tagging and ref ( '::ref' ?) routes from strange non-heirachical navigation trails through the document.

Hi Alex and Tobias

Yes, Tobias I did all the Spanish in the TW except the current Spanish

Thanks for the kind words on NoteStorm, Tobias. I hadn't noticed about
the magenta. How did I not see that? I will have to change that.

Alex, the tabs have been iin the topmenu for months, Morris Gray
actually did that bit first with his TW-Notes. I resisted at first but
suddenly got hooked on it.

Here is my flavor:

http://yourname.tiddlyspot.com/

This is the wiki I use, without the content. Horizontal floating
header. [[status]] pops up on top on every reload, to keep track of
changes - I keep the file in "My Dropbox" folder and use it at home
and in the office, so I have to remember to save it on one computer
and reload on the other.

Hi Alex,

That's definetly some good points there...

1) As for where tiddlers are opened... I have yet to learn/ understand
what determines that. As for me, I would prefer to see elements always
open either before or after. Anyone knows how that's done?

2) I like your navigation idea... however that kind of only works, if
you're not having multiple choices in either direction, right? Then
you'd need to show a popup to select the one you actually want to go
to. But that's possibly a neat use of keybindings... though
independent of my implementation.

That might be a cute little plugin, called navKeys or such, whereas:

You have four directions to move
1) North: Tagging to
2) South: Tagged by
3) West: Referenced by
4) East: Referencing to:

Just bind any keys you like (like w-a-s-d) and, as I said, if there
are multiple in either direction... present a popup & use up/down
arrows to select... brilliant. So is that possibly just an addition to
FND's stuff that you were posting? Me want that!

Tobias.

Here's an unorthodox TW . its taken on a crane theme. I thought that
my Tiddlers were looking like cranes.
There is a new here hack where the username is used as a 'strategy'
like Brian Enos oblique strategies. "newHereMod" creates a new tiddler
tagged with the Username. I've been a fan of TigglyTagging and think
that this new here give a kind of twist.

But for some reason the newHereMod does not show over http.

I've included Eric's GoToPlugin in the tiddler and used
singlePagePlugin with 'always open on top' so that the

Its a freeform TW expoloring creativity techniques.

One shame is that over http {{white{<<newTiddler label:" .">>}}} does
not work. the new tiddler is like a lone star above Manchester's
cranes.

Hi Alex,

Though not containing anything useful right now (a wait... that's the
crane :o), I find that bottom header to be quite interesting. If that
was fixed at the bottom of the screen while scrolling would take place
only in the displayArea above it... and the bottom-header containing
kind of a mainmenu.

Consider moving the SideBarOptions into the backstage panel... that
would clean up the layout:
http://tiddlywiki.org/wiki/Dev:Backstage#Customization

As for your username-newherehack... I can't really find it, not even
locally.

Tobias.

to work?!?

It does work. The dark stripe on top is the MainMenu. The second
button from the left ( » ) opens the Sidebar. Hit PageDown, only the
story scrolls, the sidebar doesn't scroll. This is convenient when you
have a few items in the Sidebar and you want it to be always there.
Now open up "contents" > "All". The sidebar is too long and you can't
get to the bottom of it. The first button on the MainMenu shows a
downward arrow and the popup hint is "scroll sidebar". This is when
you push it. The arrow filps up and the hint is "hover sidebar". In
this mode, the sidebar scrolls along with the story.

I didn't use the word "pin" for the hint as some might perceive "pin"
as pinning to the page so it scrolls with the page, while others would
argue that when you pin it, you expect it to stay put, i.e. always
visible. After much consideration I chose the terms "scroll" and
"hover", but they might not be intuitive for you.
