Updating TW Classic

I am using a TW which is Morris Gray's modification of No Brainer notes publisher on the 6nd November 2008. This version is done in TiddlyWiki Version "2.6.2" ie TW Classic. I was wondering how to update the core to the latest TW Classic which I think is 2.8. As you can imagine the links in the upgrade are broken so I am asking for help in finding out how to upgrade.

you can download the lastest from


then choose import from the backstage (import your old tw into the new one)

I tried this using my own TW as well as Dave Gifford's TW NoteStorm (2010 version) all it did is stuff up the plugins used and create a broken TW

Any thoughts??
