Is it possible that whenever I update a non-orphan tiddler, every other links to it using title[] filter is also updated?

Hi Penguinlay,

Is it possible that whenever I update a non-orphan tiddler, every other links to it using title[] filter is also updated?

Please post a specific (wikitext) example where you're not seeing any refreshing but where you would expect it.

Best wishes,

Tobias.

Example:

After creating Test1 and Test2 tiddlers, I add a link to Test2 in Test1 using [[Test2]].

After changing the title to Test2 to Test2Changed, the link to it from Test1 also didn't change.

But, rather render as link with no target.

It happened to me a lot of time.

As I add more notes and re-categorizing tiddlers, I have to go back to every tiddlers which have a link to the changed tiddlers. Right now, I only have 98 tiddlers that I created and it is a pain to re-edit all those inter-wiki link already.

I saw about adding caption field which will reflect what is displayed in toc but it doesn't work on interwiki links without custom names.

For me, it is a necessity to update naming convention as I go because as a student, I don't know what new information I would be expecting.

At least, I hope there is a feature so that whenever I change a title of already created tiddlers and if there are any direct inter-wiki links (not auto generated by tag filters) to it, it reminds me or update those for me as well.

Hi Penguinlay,

Well, yes... because it's still pointing at Test2. While the next version will allow you to update entries in tags and list fields upon renaming, it does not yet have the ability to also update tiddlylinks in wikitext.

As I add more notes and re-categorizing tiddlers, I have to go back to every tiddlers which have a link to the changed tiddlers. Right now, I only have 98 tiddlers that I created and it is a pain to re-edit all those inter-wiki link already.

So, atm and since forever, that's what the Missing tab is for under More... sou you can see what tiddlers appear to be missing.
However, before renaming, you chould check the "References" tab in the tiddler info  If there are any, those are what you need to change (manually), preferable beforehand.

I saw about adding caption field which will reflect what is displayed in toc but it doesn't work on interwiki links without custom names.

Right, the link widget or wikitext markup does not currently allow you to resolve a link by its caption only instead of the title.

Best wishes,

Tobias.

Hi, Tobias. Thank you! For now, my quick fix is making a custom tiddler UI template which add a button to a story list of tiddlers that are hard linked to current tiddler, in all the tiddlers that has hard links to it. I just started another discussion regarding this because this custom template conflict with my another custom template as they both appear one after another in one line.
