Hello All,

I had difficulties in setting up TWederation on TidlySpot previously and decided to make it a systematic run. The results are here, in red:
http://confocal-manawatu.pbworks.com/w/page/114094198/TiddlySpot%20Setup

I will keep digging into the alternative solutions but would appreciate fixing the issues with the template on ooktech.com. I believe, that will lower the barrier for participation of newcomers like me.

My final goal is to write a workable protocol easy to follow, at the same page above.
Your help would be indispensable and greatly appreciated.
Please let me know if I can be of any help too.

Jed Carty, Jeremy Ruston, others?

Cheers,
Dmitry

I don't think that a message that indicates success or failure like that is possible due to browser security problems. As for the link to the newly created wiki, we got complaints about opening the new wiki in the same window because people clicked on the link before the site was finished saving (because we can't do a test to ensure it was successful or that it has finished) and by using the same browser tab instead of opening a new one they lost their progress up to that point, so we have the link open a new tab instead.

Thank you Jed,
sorry, I am still new here:
  1. What are those "browser security problems"? Where may I read about them?
  2. Could those "browser security problems" be bypassed at analysing the content of the newly saved pages vs original by TiddlySpot?
  3. To avoid confusion I experienced at the Step 2 of the template, I would continue "3. Once uploaded, continue this installation in your new wiki." with something like "If this template is not seen in the you wiki on TiddlySpot, the TWederation upload was unsuccessful. Please close the tab, return back here and follow these instructions:..." - Does it make sense?
  4. What would be those instructions to make the TWederation up and running, please?

Please use my newly created LikeInMind for trials.

I suspect that the problem comes from me using FireFox but the template tested on Chrome only?

Many thanks for your work Jed,

Dmitry

Hi Dmitry,

http://confocal-manawatu.pbworks.com/w/page/114094198/TiddlySpot%20Setup
You need Chrome to upload to tiddlyspot.

Excellent Birthe,

I am convinced now that all TiddlyWiki administration must be done on Chrome.
The TiddlySpot setup instructions are published here:
http://confocal-manawatu.pbworks.com/w/page/114094198/TiddlySpot%20Setup
TWederation setup is here:
http://confocal-manawatu.pbworks.com/w/page/113792773/Twederation%20and%20Federation%20-%20Getting%20Started

Now I can switch to the development TWederation to be reflected here:
http://confocal-manawatu.pbworks.com/w/page/113977141/TWederation%20Development
according to the objectives listed here:
http://confocal-manawatu.pbworks.com/w/page/114069763/TiddlyWiki%20Intents%20Map

The highest priority objectives:
- versioning
- multi-user co-working
- distributed storage, meaning that the most important tiddlers will be kept on the authors' PCs

Dear All,
I would appreciate your suggestions with me getting started.
At the moment, I only know where the TWederation development hub is: TWederation on GitHub

Thank you,
Dmitry
