(Sorry had to repost) Hello so I found out that there was an update in Tiddlyserver so I immediately went straight to the getting started guide and I ran npm install -g tiddlyserver@latest in the cmd since I already have tiddlyserver installed. The problem is after entering that, I got a message from cmd saying that there's an error along with the debug log. I checked the directory in node_modules and there's no tiddlyserver anymore along with my wikis. I once again typed npm install -g tiddlyserver@latest this in and that when the tiddlyserver directory appeared but my wiki is not there ofc. Now I can't seem to find my server config, files, and wikis anywhere and I'm afraid that I can't retrieve it anymore. I have a backup but it was last updated 2 weeks or so ago, I haven't downloaded the latest HTML file so yea.

I guess it's partially my fault since I didn't read the instructions further but can anyone clarify about this, thank you!

Arlen would be the best person to answer, but while we're waiting I'll ask some questions.

How do you normally launch tiddlyserver? An upgrade to ts shouldn't affect your personal
files unless you did some unusual like putting them into the node_modules directory.

So if you can remember how you launch, then you should be able to find the configuration
that will tell you (or remind you) where your personal files are. With TS, your personal files
could be anywhere on the system, depending on configuration.  So your personal files should
be there -- you just have to remember where.

Looking at the logs, it appears that ts didn't have enough permissions to complete it's process.
Possibly if you opened an administrator box and ran the upgrade it would complete. Perhaps
that is what you did when you first installed and have forgotten. But, like I said, you might
want to wait for other input.

Good luck!

I normally launch Tiddlyserver on cmd by tiddlyserver --config.

My personal files is located inside the tiddlyserver directory. When I inputted npm install -g tiddlyserver@latest, the error occurred and when I checked the directory in node_modules, there's no tiddlyserver directory anymore. I checked the recycled bin but the files aren't there so I don't know where it went :/

Sorry, I don't know what administrator box is, what is it? Anyways, thanks for the reply!
