[TW5] How hide text field if a specific field is present

The _canonical_uri field hides the text field from displaying at all, even in edit mode somehow that I can't seem to figure out. Is there a way I can cause my ViewTemplate to hide the display of the text field. Here is what I have so far for my ViewTemplate.
