Hi folks,
In my previous/future life as a faculty member at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, I developed a course called "Designing and Writing Interactive Texts" for both graduate and undergraduate students.
In my current life as an academic administrator, I'm helping develop a suite of courses to be offered this summer offering opportunities to students to study the pandemic from a variety of perspectives (sociological, anthropological, historical, etc) while creating, designing, building, making, writing, ... "artifacts" -- writing, arts, presentations, TiddlyWikis!
To teach an undergraduate class requires a Master's degree. To teach a graduate class, a PhD, a terminal Master's degree (MFA), or ABD in a PhD program is required.
100% online, of course. Mixture of sync or async possible; depending on faculty and student preferences.
The course could be modeled on my course, "Designing and Writing Interactive Texts' (
http://designwritestudio.com,) which uses Tiddlywiki as a tool. Or build an entirely new course or build upon the open source teaching material available.
Salary is our typical adjunct faculty salary. Summer is based on # of students, and faculty can set minimum (4) and maximum (??) that they would be willing to teach. For example, 16 undergraduate students @ 3 credits = ~$3200, courses run either 6 or 8 weeks.

Courses, or similar courses that will be offered this summer, with a focus on creating texts (wikis) that interpret, collect, analyze, annotate, process, or otherwise manipulate & design, readings or discovered texts reflecting a particular perspective viewpoint on the COVID-19 global pandemic.
