I have a remote web site (hosted by Dreamhost). Although tiddlyspot.com
works great (with great support !), I am trying to figure out how to
upload my tiddly wiki(s) onto my site - for no good reason other than
seeing if I can get it to work. I have tried the store.php and
store.cgi scripts, with all of the appropriate plugins (per
http://tiddlywiki.bidix.info/#Upload).

I am unable to save the file to the server when I click on the upload
button - with store.php I get a javascript popup with the entire
contents of the php file; with store.cgi, I get a pop-up saying "unable
to save changes".

Any suggestions ?

(ps I have the latest upload plugin)

TIA

Hi Charles,

It's very strange that you get the store.php file ?

Could you please tell what is your browser, your os and the version of TiddlyWiki you are using ?

Have you install a .htaccess file in your directory ?

I imagine you edited your store.php to change the username and the password. Have you verify your change ? Are you sure you have not a syntax error ?

I am using Windows XP; Firefox 1.5.0.4, and TiddlyWiki is the latest
version (I don't know how to check this on the TW itself- ie where is
the version #?

I did alter the username and password, and checked it repeatedly. I
don't think there is a syntax error...

Perhaps an OOPS on the .htaccess - I don't know how to do this on my
site, but can check with provider.

? Does the simple placement of a store.cgi file allow the server to
store the altered sheet - I'm pretty sure DreamHost provides this
capability automatically, but although I am reasonably familiar with
ruby, I don't know much about servers/web development (rather
obviously).

Thanks!

I'm using dreamhost and store.php worked right away.  I haven't tried store.cgi for any personal TWs (although tiddlyspot is using it).

Remember that store.cgi needs the latest version of UpdatePlugin.. and maybe try store.php instead, in case it's a ruby issue.

If you want to mail me directly I'd be happy to help further..
