Hello,

Here is my vision of a mobile theme. I have developed this five months ago, and I did it entirely on my mobile phone(that's why it fits so good). I don't know why I did not share this before. It is not ready already for distribution, but I find it very functional. It is only noticeable when you are on mobile unlike other "mobile" themes,so you can install it on your wiki and it will not interrupt your normal work flow on desktop.

What I like the most about it is that it uses vertical space, wich you have plenty on mobile, but leaves the horizontal space, which is a precious treasure on mobile, all for the tiddlers river.

Check it out here

Hi Danielo

This is really nice work :-)
Thank you very much for sharing it!
Looking forward to see it as a stand alone theme.

I was wondering:
Do you know if it's possible to automatically change themes based on screen size?
If it is not possible - your theme maybe shouldn't be a stand alone theme and instead be released as a plugin which would work with any theme?!
I guess there might be some "clashes" with other themes -  eg. Jeds MobileMenu in his MobileTheme? - If this is the case a standalone theme of your's might be a better option..?!

Cheers Måns Mårtensson

Hello Mans,
thank you for your kind words. My idea is to release it as a plugin. For me a mobile theme is not something that you have to select, is something that should be activated automatically. There are some things that in my opinion should be done when you switch to mobile, like hidding the sidebar, but I'm not very sure about how to manage that properly.

Other thing that I think is that, while on mobile, most of elements should be hidden until you need them, that's why my top bar is so minimal. That is the part that I dislike the most from Jed's theme:it wastes a lot of necessary horizontal space. And it does not fit properly on my screen, which is a totally deal breaker for me.

I'm unsure how to get any page tools or "mobile bar" to show up. In the ctrlpanel there are already some selected alternatives, but where to they actually show up?

Hi Mat

The topbar with the menu icon is only visible on small screen.

Hello Mat,

As Birthe said the mobile menu is only visible on small screens or Windows. As it is stated on the Hello there tiddler try making the window slimmer. Your opinion is very important to me!

Birthe, Danielo - thanks, that makes sense. And it is one of those "see it once and then you know forever" things so it is fine for UI.

> Your opinion is very important to me!

I'd be happy to make a run through of my thoughts if you want me to.

One thing that I (think that I would) want is

Hi Danielo,

I have used your mobile menu ever since you told us about it, thank you very much.
I am surprised you have not had more feed back on this and would love to hear or better have a look at how other people are using it.

I am using it with a toptiddler toolbar like this http://toptiddler-mobile.tiddlyspot.com/.

Hi Andrew,

Your are right. It does help a little to list the more button before the other buttons but maybe not enough.

I've seen menus that respect the edge of the display area and flip arround to show fully onscreen. I'd like to help figure this out. I'll put the search beacons out.
