Ref: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/tiddlywiki/kwCNXHPATlg/QFtEoGViCAAJ

Concept

The current status of Tiddlywiki allows creating complex UI and operations. This is while many users may don't like to put time and developing scripts of have not enough Tiddlywiki knowledge to develop codes.

What is a component?
A component is a group of TW macros and tiddlers create a visual element for complex processes.
Purpose

The ultimate objective of TW components is, to create objects which can simply by used by TW programmer to create complex processes or codes. So, a TW component shall be simply integrated into a TW script. Using components one should be able to create a sophisticated plugin with less effort and more simplicity!

How to distribute?
The components can be distributed as plugins or JSON bundles and can be installed by simple drag-drop or import mechanism.

A new Tiddlywiki component announced!

compInspect

The compInspect is a simpel TW component to show a UI for inspecting a tiddler. That means all tiddler fileds are displayed in two modes

  • show-preview (wikified tiddler)
  • edit-preview (for modification)

Note: compInspect was originally developed for Tiddler Commander.

Ciao Mohammad

I just wanted to comment that TW Components is a great resource! The two "select" macros on there I have used.

Its a good resource, not just because it reduces the need to "reinvent the wheel", but also, importantly for me, is it practically helps me understand the TW coding.

Thanks!
Josiah

Glad you find them useful, Josiah!
I hope I have time to add more components there!
