Hi!

I've just released v0.10.0 of Projectify!

You can install/upgrade from

https://projectify.wiki

This release contains an important bugfix with the calendar picker[1],
so I would encourage all users of Projectify 0.9.0 to upgrade.

The most important new feature in this release is the support for task
priorities.

Nico,

good work. Really one one of the first TW project tools that really seems to work for me. Clear structure and nice graphic design.

I was wondering of it is useful and/or possible to use subprojects in this concept? It makes it easier to group tasks into smaller groups.

And what's the best way to send notifications, for instance by mail to other devices?

Thanks! :)

Projectify already supports adding sub-tasks to tasks within a project,
or did you mean something else?

I don't think there's anything builtin to do that, and TBH it would
involve quite a bit of work and infrastructure to send email
notifications from within TiddlyWiki.

Yes, I can use that. But maybe you can add an option to show just the top level projects in the sidebar menu and a checkbox to toggle to show only the top level projects in the dashboard (or add a new tab TopProjects next to All Projects). I have a lot of projects so a view main projects gives me a better overview.

I'm using 0.11.0 a lot, good work

Have you tried using the new project categories? There's a new filter on
the right-hand side of the projects list to filter by category, could
that fit your need?

Thanks :-)

hi Nico,

yes, I can use filters. I also use the feature to add new tiddlers as todo to projects and then convert them to projects. But when projects grow bigger I like to make more manageable by group task into subprojects.

* Project A
    + subproject A1
    + subproject A2
    + subproject A11 <category: network>

* Project B
    + subproject B1
      + subproject B1a
      + subproject B1b   <category: network>
    + subproject B2 <category: network>

* Project C
    + subproject C1
    + subproject C2
    + subproject C3

I would be nice if I can get a list of just the top level projects, like
* Project A
* Project B
* Project C

I use categories to filter a kind of projects, so for instance network related projects.

Then I can select a project to work with and dive into details. I would normally use a filter to select tiddlers without a project parent.

Do you think using sub-tasks would work for you? Or do you mean that
you would want to be able to assign categories to sub-projects?

If you open a todo tiddler and click "Add sub-tasks" like the screenshot
below:

hi Nico,

I've solved it by adding !tag[todo] in the $:/plugins/nico/projectify/ui/dashboard/ProjectList tiddler. This shows only the top level projects

and I just discovered that you solved it in version 0.12..0 with adding the Subproject tag. My subprojects weren't converted but I've done it manually now. Thanks, just what I needed!
