[TW5] timeline macro & days filter - I don't get it.

Can someone please enlighten me about how to use the timeline macro properly?
I understood that
[!days:modified[-14]]
would give me all tiddlers modified more than 14 days ago should be selected.
So I used
<<timeline subfilter:"!days:modified[-14]">>
but get results from today and also 8 days ago.
Is my understanding wrong?

Could it be my TiddlyWiki is too old? 5.1.9.

The "days" operator was added at version 5.1.10.
