I'm playing with TW5 and found out it can embed video/pictures from others sites. But I was unable to do so with local files. Is that possible? Am I missing something?

Do you want to insert local images in you TW5 file? Just drag and drop it into the Browser ;)

That worked for images. Thanks. Althought it create two tiddlers. One with the image's name and another one "untitled" and with the path link.

How about videos? When I drag and drop it only create the path's link and it freezes FF.

Just figured out that big files crashes TW5. The video file has 92mb and the photo has 4.3mb. When I reduce the photo's size to 450kb it works like a charm.

So will the image remove from TW5 if the picture file remove physically also?

My understanding on TWC, the picture is just a link for TWC to display, the picture will be remove if you delete the picture physically.

Kindly advise.  Thanks.

Hi Jimmy

By default, images are directly embedded in TW5, so you can remove the original picture file without affecting it.

But you can also link to external image files using <img src="/myimage.gif"/>.

Best wishes

Jeremy

Hi Jimmy

Will video be the same as well?

It could be, but the problem is that the embedding technique does not work well for large files. In fact, as the original thread here notes, there can be problems with large images on some browsers.

Best wishes

Jeremy
