Hi,

How do you override the edit lock when it comes up.  I have a tiddler I need to edit, but there's a black lock icon in place of the edit button.  I've seen this before when there was a draft copy of the tiddler that I had to delete, but in this case there is no other draft copy of the tiddler anywhere.

Is there a way to override this lock out?

thanks,

It seems a vary a bit. Sometimes refreshing the page does it. When its very resistant closing and restarting Bob server worked for me.

There is also i think, a bug in Bob I haven not written up yet, but will when I can put it down precisely. Sometimes you can invoke a lock even though you didn't actually  edit. Just clicked to but backed out on the "shadow" warning.

Best wishes
Josiah

Thanks -
pkill node

at the terminal, then restarting the Bob instance worked :)

I haven't run into this bug yet, if you find a reproducible way to cause it let me know so I can fix it.

If you want a possibly easier way to get rid of the edit lock you can edit the list field of the tiddler $:/state/Bob/EditingTiddlers, it is supposed to hold a list of all tiddlers that are opened in edit mode so that they aren't edited in two places at the same time. If you remove the tiddler title from the list field the lock should go away.

On GitHub I give an example that is, I think, repeatable, at least on Windows Bob.EXE.
