While running the TW5 on node.js, while adding and editing tiddlers, how to know if the server is up and everything is going fine? I was editing some tiddlers thinking it was saving while my server went offline. Nothing was saved.

Hi Marcel

It's a good idea to keep an eye on the TW terminal prompt and look for the file saved notifications. After an editing session, I generally check that the last tiddler has been saved. If it hasn't, I use the "export" option in the "saving" tab of the control panel to export the latest changes from the browser as a single file. Then I restart the server and import the tiddlers I need from the exported backup.

Best wishes

Jeremy

I'm using the "forever" for keep the TiddlyWiki server on, so I have no notifications flow to check.
How about a notification push when its disconnected?

I've been keeping a file-list window open, just behind my TW but off to the side a bit, showing me the folder where all of the tiddlers reside.  As I edit tiddlers I can the files moving about and updating, so I know everything is ok.  If I see that nothing is happening, I copy the tiddlers I'm working on, reload, and start again.

I've moved my tiddlers folder to inside Dropbox and now I getting notification changes. It's a little annoying but I can see what's going on.
