Help! New to TW and decided I needed a Wysiwyg editor so I installed
EasyEdit plugin. Plugins on Backstage shows this plugin with "loaded"
= "yes". However my tiddler toolbar does not have the "Write" button
so I do not know how to use the editor. I have read the documentation,
but it is not clear. Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I had the same problem when I installed it. It took me a while to
figure it out.

The next step is to add "easyEdit" to your ViewTemplate on the line
that defines your toolbar. To see an example, go to
http://visualtw.ouvaton.org/VisualTW.html and read the documentation
for EasyEdit. In the Installation section, at step 3, you can click
on ViewTemplate to see the tiddler used at that site. Right above the
code for the tiddler you can see the menu options that it is creating.

I hope I remembered it correctly and that it helps you to set it up.

Thanks Randall.

I found that I had to edit the ToolbarCommands shadowed tiddler. It
was:

|~ViewToolbar|closeTiddler closeOthers +editTiddler > fields syncing
permalink references jump|
|~EditToolbar|+saveTiddler -cancelTiddler deleteTiddler|

I changed it to:

|~ViewToolbar|closeTiddler closeOthers +editTiddler easyEdit > fields
syncing permalink references jump|
|~EditToolbar|+saveTiddler -cancelTiddler deleteTiddler|

The installation instructions are remarkably misleading and unhelpful,
especially for a plugin intended for beginners who want to avoid
complex syntax!

Ah, that's right - I had the wrong tiddler. It has been a while
before I had to set that up. I'm glad you got it working.

Hi i'm having a similar problem....I intalled the easyEdit plugin, but
when I added the easyEdit bit in the ToolbarCommands shadow tiddler,
it shows the 'write' option in the toolbar, when i click it it goes to
the wysiwyg editer, but after i do it once, the options go away, and
i'm left with only the pre-markup text in the tiddler. I'm sooo
confused!!! Many thanks in advance.
