Hi everyone.

The text editor toolbar has a “stamp” button that brings up a list of snippets. How to I delete the snippets that come by default (not the snippets I created), for example, the snippet 'MacroDefinition'.

I cannot delete the tiddler '$:/language/Snippets/MacroDefinition' which i found in 'shadow tiddlers' and in ' $:/core.

Good question!

I think "$:/language/Snippets/MacroDefinition" is not delete-able. I think it  is a thing in the core of TW. You can't delete the core or parts of it. Though you can edit them.

Hi,

All snippets are tagged with

$:/tags/TextEditor/Snippet

You can remove that tag from the $:/language/Snippets/MacroDefinition tiddler which in effect creates an overridden shadow tiddler.

By creating a tiddler containing:

<<tag $:/tags/TextEditor/Snippet>>

you create a tagpill for the snippets. Clicking the tagpill let you select all tiddlers tagged with $:/tags/TextEditor/Snippet.

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Ton

Thank you both, Josiah and Ton (I learned a lot from http://tw5custom.tiddlyspot.com/).

The problem is solved (despite the indestructibility of core tiddlers).

Cheers,

Pedro
