This is my first Tiddlywiki and having trouble adding a commenst box to the bottom of individual Tiddlers.

I have dragged across thye following plugin on to my TiddlyWiki and clicked on the input button

I have then clicked on the input button as shown below:

I have then typed in <<comment>> at the bottom of the Tiddler then saved it but no comments appear.

Any help on installing this plugin would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
John

The plugins found at www.TiddlyTools.com are for TiddlyWiki Classic (v 2.x.x) and cannot be used with the current version of TiddlyWiki (v 5.x.x)

Note that there ARE some TW5-compatible addons on my site, but they are contained in separate URLs:
Filter Generators - A collection of filter-related add-ons
Timer - A collection of time/date/calendar add-ons
AutoScroll - Autoscrolling for tiddler content
Inside TiddlyWiki - A heavily-customized "book" framework and "Introduction to TiddlyWiki" content (incomplete)

Note that Inside TiddlyWiki has a variety of individual add-ons:
However, only some of these are readily separable from the overall book framework.
If you want to use these addons in your own TiddlyWiki documents, please ask first, and I will provide guidance as to usage and customization.
Also, please see http://tiddlytools.com/InsideTW/#Legal%2FTermsOfUse for limits on re-use and/or re-distribution of Inside TiddlyWiki and TiddlyTools components.

Hi Eric,

Thank you for the quick response and I will definitely have a look at links you provided.    In your experience what method/plugin do people use for capturing comments.

Cheers,
John

Hi John,

I have used $:/plugins/tiddlywiki/comments which is an official TW plugin and I am happy with it. You can install it directly from $:/ControlPanel.

For multi-user situations I had used the Disqus plugin by Bimlas and it had worked very well. (A Disqus account is needed).

Hope this helps.

H.

P.s. I posted the above a few minutes before and it disappeared shortly after, so I am reposting.
