Hi.
(Sorry, I already posted this question, but this time I get directly to the point and refrain from the page-long self-introduction)

I am trying to use EasyEdit Plugin, but have a problem:

I cannot EDIT any tiddler text, because each time I invoke the "editor", it DELETES all existing text, leaving me no other possibility than start writing from scratch.

My two QUESTIONS:

1)
Somebody has experience using EasyEdit Plugin? What am I doing wrong? How can I use the EasyEdit Plugin to "EDIT" tiddler's text?

2)
Do you know another good WYSIWYG solution? - (I definitely NEED wysiwyg to convince my students to start taking notes on the TW I am trying to introduce in a class I am teaching: jminino.tiddlyspace.com)

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Jero,

You could try Eric's QuickEdit plugin. Though this isn't actually WYSIWYG, it does provide a way of easily remembering the markup.

I've not tried EasyEdit myself though I quick test on Pascal's homepage with Firefox 4 worked fine. I have used his FCKEditor plugin though which worked fine for me last time I used it though it does require access to the external libraries.

Have you tried EasyEdit with a clean, empty version of TW to make sure there is no other plugin messing things up? Maybe there is a problem with the latest version of TW as the plugin doesn't seem to have been updated since 2007.

Regards, Julian Knight.

Thank you very much.
As you mention, it works with Firefox -here too.
I was using Google Chrome. The text-disappearing-issue seems to be Chrome-related.
