I run several Web sites using the Mambo CMS (http://mamboserver.com)
and I thought it would be cool to see if I could integrate a TiddlyWiki
into Mambo.

See it live at this link:
http://g04.com/mambotiddlywiki/

and click on the "MambTiddlyWiki" button link on the left.

MamboTiddlyWiki can be downloaded from here:
http://g04.com/mambotiddlywiki/MamboTiddlyWiki.html
Right click on the above link and do a "Save as.."

Integration turned out to be much simpler than I expected. The hardest
part was creating a custom TiddlyWiki StyleSheet that would move the
screen elements to where I wanted them. (and the difficulty was in my
lack of CSS experience.) You see, TiddlyWiki looks great when it's
full-screen, but when it's wrapped within the confines of a CMS
template, screen space becomee a premium.

I re-worked the MainMenu to have a horizontal orientation and located
it just below the TitleLine. Next, I moved the SideBar over to the left
side of the screen, shrank it a bit, and customized it to remove some
unneeded stuff. Finally, I applied some style elements that I like.

Once that was done, I uploaded the file and then turned to Mambo...

1. In Mambo Administrator, I first installed a new template called
247portal-blue. (I could have used just about any template, but I like
247portal-blue!)

2. Next, I went into the Menu manager and created a new "Wrapper" menu
item on the "mainmenu" menu, and used the URL of the MamboTiddlyWiki
file located at http://g04.com/mambotiddlywiki/MambTiddlyWiki.html

3. I then configured all "left" and "right" modules to display
everywhere EXCEPT on the MamboTiddlyWiki page to provide as much screen
space as possible. This was fairly simple, but could be quite tedious
if you have aa lot of modules defined.

4. Finally, I "unpublished" all unneeded modules for sake of clarity.

The end result is a nicely integrated (in my opinion) TiddlyWiki WITHIN
a Mambo page. It obviously has the same limitations of any
Web-delivered TiddlyWiki (no saving) but it provides nice function.

I hope others find this useful!
