tag based batch importing?

Is there any way or plugin to import "tag wise", i.e in batches
specified in any other way than to manually check "all" or individual
tiddlers?
I *really* see a need for this feature now as I'm trying to upgrade my
MonkeyGTD to 3.0 but having a lot of difficluty as my old
"problems" (various scripts etc) are getting transferred to the new
version as I import.
