[Plugin Installation] How do I add Russian and German translation to TW5?

I need both of them. I understood, that one either

1. gets TW5 already with translation, or
2. downloads and installs translation as tiddler

So far, I found the translation here, but I am strugging how to add it.

I was also not able to find a howto about this official page (tiddlywiki.com).

Please help!

So far, I found no Russian translation. Is this correct?
Do I have to get existing translation and then translate the $:/languages/de-DE to $:/languages/ru-RU manually?

If I do this, can this translation be submitted anywhere for others to use?

Hi Majou

There is indeed a Russian translation for TiddlyWiki 5.

The easiest way to install a new language is:

* Visit the control panel

* Click on the “Plugins” tab

* Click the “Get more plugins” button

* Click the “open plugin library” button

* Select the “Languages” tab

* Search or scroll for the “Russian (Russia)” plugin, and click the “install” button

* Save changes

* Reload your TiddlyWiki file in the browser

* You should now be able to select “Russian (Russia)” from the language dropdown under the “Tools” tab in the sidebar

There have been some improvements to the Russian translation submitted for the 5.1.10 release. If you are interested in contributing you can see the latest prerelease translation here:

Dear Jeremy!

This works splendid! Thank you very much for quick response and please forgive my "noise"!

However this is not mentioned on tiddlywiki.com in "Languages" tiddler, instead it is suggested to download few "translated"* TW's.
Perhaps the much better option would be to place your response there instead of them? This will cover all available languages and prevent questions such as mine.

* it seems they just have corresponding language plugins installed and enabled.

but now I can add Russian for my wife!
