After fiddling around with the TwiddlyFox plugin for TW5/Firefox for Android on my phone for an hour or so, I finally realized that I could save my twiddlers on the phone memory space but not on the SD card. I don't know why.
It's no big deal. I thought it would be nice to leave a trace here in case someone else tries it. I only moved the file around as a last resort after downgrading Firefox from version 40 to 39. Seems that the addon works the same in version 40. I'll stick with 39 until the addon is oked for 40.
Moving along with my project to use TW5 as my password manager, encrypted.

Is it an Android? Google made changes in Kitkat 4.4 that prevents apps from writing to the external SD card. Lot's of people are complaining about their favorite apps no longer working properly, but it's not the apps fault.
This is why I fastidiously refuse to upgrade my OS. With android 4.2.2 Firefox 30, and TiddlyFox 1.0alpha18.1-signed I am able to read/write to the external SD card.

As Mark said, this is a problem with KitKat. That's why I am still on JB

Yes, Android 4.4.2
I cannot downgrade, so I'll just keep my TW5 on the internal memory.
Thanks for the feedback.

Found there are several solutions to not being a able to write to external SD card with Android KitKat (4.2.2). All of then need a rooted phone. Off to get mine rooted then.

Some say there is a fix in Android 5, but I don't know if I trust the big G. G. keeps doing things to disappoint us. In any event, you would need upgraded apps that know how to use the new permissions in the new OS.
