For the Clint Checkett's redirect macro, is there a way to tell it not to redirect something?

I'm cross-referencing stories and sometimes they have variations in titles. So I've got a summary that includes the story name - "Watch the fur fly as _Snarf Takes Up The Challenge!_" The original story had the exclamation point, the reprint doesn't, so I've got the redirect of <<redirect "Snarf Takes Up The Challenge!"  "Snarf Takes Up The Challenge!">>. In the above summary, can I tell it not to redirect for that usage?

I suspect I'm going to need the same thing for some creator credits as well. Some of them have just one word common words - like John Hunt that sometimes shows up just as Hunt - that are likely to show up in a summary as lower case.

Thanks

Would be nice, if you could link to the macro.

Do you mean this macro?

http://checkettsweb.com/styles/themes.htm#RedirectMacro

If so, it's for TW classic, not TW5

Then please rename your thread title. It should be possible.

Yes, sorry about that. I have no idea why I typed 5. I must've been a bit brain-fried.

Duh. Got it. The standard plain text formatting does it. You'd think I'd look for the obvious solutions first.
