Hi im4u

Sometimes a link on itddgraph doesn't work. You can click another node, then return to the one you originally clicked -- then it works

Hi Alex,
Can't duplicate this, do you get an error or anything else? The only time
I have something like this happen is when I leave my palm on top of
the touchpad,
and everything works as soon as I move it out :) More of a touchpad issue than
tidgraph.

Thanks!

See it this duplicates on you machine. I am using Chrome on a MacBook Pro

1) Go to http://alexhough.github.io/hangout93.

2) click on "My practice" at the top
3)close   My practice
4) then try and open it again

It might be an issue with the TW producing a permalink?

best wishes

Alex

Yep, not working here either, in both Chrome and FF on Win-10.

Actually, you have it set up to not create permalinks:

Navigation Address Bar

Behaviour of the browser address bar when navigating to a tiddler:

So, the question is, what sets it anyway? ...while not working.

Best wishes,

Tobias.

Hi Alex,

I imagined it could have something to do with
how you render the graph above the story.

But, when I open the tiddler in the story that actually holds the graph:

Which contains nothing but...

<$tidgraph start="My practice" maxdepth="2" layout="S"/>

...and then click on "My Practice" again, close it, and try to open it:
that won't work either. So, it's unrelated to where you positioned the graph.

Best wishes,

Tobias.

I was able to reproduce it, thanks for providing the easy to follow
instructions.
Yes, as you guessed it happens because of the permalink in TW ....

This is a bug in TW, it should clear the permalink (or update it properly)
when the Tiddler is closed. Currently it leaves the permalink there,
causing the
problem you see.

Thanks

Not exactly sure that is a bug. If it is...
  • How would one reproduce it in a standard TiddlyWiki?
Otherwise...
  • How exactly did you implement the link functionality?
  • How does that differ from a regular internal link?
Best wishes,

Tobias.

I did a little more digging, it is actually a bug in Tidgraph which
doesn't connect to the link handling mechanism in TW5...I will work on it.

Thanks
