Don't forget the tiddlywiki toolmap, with links and descriptions for plugins, projects, tools, and examples.

My intent in creating this post was to move much of the "Welcome" message into an "announcement" post that would be set to "display at top", so that it would always be available without overflowing the limited "Welcome" space provided by the new Google Groups interface.  However, it seems that the new interface doesn't even have the "display at top" option!  *sigh*.

In any case, this may yet be a useful posting, as it can be used to collect an expanded list of links to other TiddlyWiki resources.

Note: this probably shouldn't be used to publicize links to specific TiddlyWiki implementations (such as NoteSelf, Stroll, etc.).  Instead, it should list sites that are hosting TiddlyWiki-related communities (i.e., "social media" sites) such as Twitter, Reddit, Discord, etc. and possibly also "index" sites such as "TiddlyWiki Toolmap" that provide lists of links to popular TiddlyWiki implementations.

To that end, I will periodically edit the top post to incorporate suggested sites so that this doesn't grow into a long thread of postings to sift through.

Right.

Yes. BUT. They IMO should have achieved (a) sufficient SCALE; and (b) PROVEN LONGEVITY.

TiddlyWiki Toolmap, I think, for instance, is definitely a PRIMARY candidate for inclusion now. That will help it get used more. And it will encourage users to report where it needs updating. It is the single richest Resource Base we have & users need know about it IMO.

I am happy you administer this stuff & do what you are happy with since you do not give in to every request easily. Correct approach I think. Keeping the list as SHORT as possible is a v. good idea.

Best wishes

Eric et all.,

More information on the New Google Groups perhaps at least add temporarily to the lead post.
  • Once a suggestion for content is given, like this above, can you Eric update the lead post and then delete my reply?
  • If you want to reject someones reply a private email could explain why, before deletion of the reply.
  • If this is going to be a pinned post, and consume the first line of the forum, why should there not be a large accumulation of content here in the lead post?
Regards
Tony
