Hi all

Someone I just met asked for this

the ability to select a chunk of text in an existing tiddler (including within the editor) and have a button which will “move” (cut/paste) that chunk of markup text to a new tiddler, set the focus to the title field, and manage the back-linking to the original tiddler (perhaps as a link, perhaps as a transclusion).

In other words, they want the ability to push highlighted content into a new tiddler, and have the new tiddler also backlink to the present tiddler similar to the "new tiddler with link to this one" from Stroll.

Any way to do this? Seems like this would be possible with an editortoolbar button.

I will let the person know if I get something solid here.

Blessings

Dave

The "excise" button in the editor toolbar (next to the "link" button) does this, though perhaps not exactly as you have described.
